I think that is why I see so many British people in Florida, Texas, California, Hawaii and Australia. When I was in Germany (I spent 9 years there) the NATO guys all went on vacation to Spain, Italy or Greece. It was more about the sun I think. I am coming to the UK and Ireland myself in July 2025 I will avoid anything that looks like this. I warned my wife, sister in law and brother in law about Britain's weather. I insisted we do between May and August. There will still be cloudy and rain on occasion.
