Ended up with a bit of a hangover this morning but sometimes you just can't help yourself. I went out to see Black Uhuru last night at a small venue in Manchester. Always one of the top handful of iconic reggae bands from the 70s and 80s but still touring, albeit with only one original member, Duckie Simpson. Not sure whether that really makes them into a tribute band really? Could a band with no original members really be classed as the same band?
Anyway it was a superb show, great crowd, a bit of a nostalgia trip, and it was rather too easy to get to the bar so I ended up a bit tipsy. I love these small venues; live music needs to be an intimate affair where you can see the band, watch the guitarist play, see the faces and feel the atmosphere. I'll leave the stadium shows to others.
Now where did I put those paracetamol.....

See
for a classic Black Uhuru gig with there best line-up. Not great video quality but it's watchable.
