Review #4 - Vac-U-Lock mini-review and conversion guide
Anybody who has a more than passing interest in dildos (and that should be everybody right?) will be familiar with the Vac-U-Lock system for attaching dildos to various other items of equipment, be they fuckmachines, suction cups, reciprocating saws (careful!), etc. It is basically the industry gold standard and deservedly so. Not because it’s packed with rocket science, but quite the opposite really – it’s just so simple to use and play with.
• Industry standard – anything labelled as ‘Vac-U-Lock compatible’ will fit these adaptors.
• Huge range of dildos and accessories available.
• Easy to convert non-Vac-u-Lock dildos into compatible ones with basic DIY skills – see below.
• Simple and easy to use.
One of the most versatile accessories is the ‘Deluxe 360-degree Swivel Suction Cup Plug’ as shown above. I have one of these and it’s perfect for general play. The suction cup easily sticks to most flat clean surfaces and stays rock-solid throughout any performance. And in the image above of the red clear gel dildo you can see how the Vac-U-Lock system works – it simply slides into a round hole and then catches on the internal ribs of the dildo’s shaft hole.
Conversion Method – The great thing about the system is that the softness of the dildo material makes conversion of a standard dildo with no Vac-u-Lock hole to a Vac-U-Lock compatible one simple. All that is required is to create a hole slightly smaller in diameter to the standard hole and then when the dildo is pushed firmly onto the adaptor it will grip the shaft perfectly.
All you need is a standard household drill with a slow speed setting, like you would use for driving wood screws, a 16mm drill bit, and a roll of tape.
Measure the drill bit against the shaft of the adaptor so you know how far you need to drill into the dildo and mark the depth on the drill bit by winding a bit of tape around the drill. If you already have a Vac-U-Lock dildo then it’s easier simply to insert the drill bit to ascertain the correct depth. (and it will confirm your drill bit is the correct size – it should be a snug fit in the hole)
Now simply slowly drill the hole into the dildo up to the depth of the tape marker.
• Be sure to use a very slow drill speed, anything too quick will melt the soft dildo material.
• Be careful to align the drill centrally to the shaft of the dildo and take it slowly and carefully, you don’t want the drill hole mis-aligned or worse, emerging from the side half-way up! If you have some kind of drilling rig then use that for a truly professional job. Don’t wreck your expensive new toy.
• And that folks, is it. Simple. Remove the drill, clean any bits of loose rubber from the hole and you’re good to go.
• And don’t bother with any expensive specialist releasing powders or anything like that, totally unnecessary. At most, a slight dust with talcum powder will make removal of the dildo simple – although doesn’t talc cause cancer now?
So that’s it. Now you have your favourite dildo/s Vac-u-Locked then you have access to a huge range of accessories. You can by the standard branded Vac-U-Lock accessories as shown above or eBay and Amazon etc sell a huge variety of adaptors which, with a bit of imagination, you can use to make your own custom bits of kit. One of the most popular is the reciprocating saw attachment shown above. (Whatever you do, don’t be tempted to simply slide a dildo over an existing saw blade – the results don’t bear thinking about!)
