Hi guys, going to be doing the Manchester Half-Marathon tomorrow! Luckily the 'heat-spike' from this last week has gone and we have cooler weather, maybe even drizzle, which is great for a HM. Not looking to break any records but just finish in a respectable time, too much time out with hamstring issue and no speed sessions. All sorted now and injury free so onwards and upwards 😍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Anticipating another ridiculously hot day today I was out at 6am for my 15km slow run. Gorgeous to be out in the fresh morning air with the sun's rays just starting to warm. Getting trim for Saturday photoshoot, if the stars align! X

So someone gives you a lovely gift of a gorgeous box of continental chocolates. Such a nice act but it kicks off a whole host of issues 😒 for anyone trying to keep super slim 1 do I just say thank you and then throw them in a bin as soon as they turn their back? New phone 📱😁 Well my phone breathed it's last a few days ago leaving me incommunicado. One minute it was well, next it was well and truly expired. All of the fixes offered by Mr. Google failed to restore any life. I thought about getting it fixed at one of those phone / vape / stolen gear shops but past experience of friends suggested it was probably not worth it. So I'm now £500 lighter but has a lovely shiny new phone so all good again. It's so true that you don't realise

Yes I had a busy weekend! Had a great night out in Manchester but managed to get a friend to shoot a few sexy images while getting dressed and hanging around waiting for the inevitable late train 😥 I knew there was a reason I never rely on public transport. Wow, that was tough! I did a 10k race on Sunday which has left me seriously stiff. It was a real killer, basically 5k uphill followed by 5k downhill. You'd think that evens itself out but far from it - the uphill sections are the killer. I was even reduced to walking a couple of time, although only for 10 or 15 seconds, just enough time to catch my breath again. You don't actually lose much time as your running pace up a steep hill isn't much faster than walking anyway and it

Yep, that's the target for this morning's run. According to my half-marathon training plan it should actually be 24 but I missed a week due to a race. Still plenty of time though, nearly 2 months to go yet.

Off out on a short road trip today down to Hinckley in Leicestershire for work. Up early to miss the traffic on the motorway. Glad I can claim my toll charges back as the M6 toll stretch is a joke now - almost £12 ($16) each way for a 20 mile section. Quick update to say my 10k race on Sunday went really well. 😀 Did 39:20 which I was very pleased with considering it was a slow course. A couple of hills, plenty of uneven trails and 3 or 4 gates that stopped you dead every time you got going again. 😫 Probably equivalent to just sub-38 mins on a flat course so happy with that result for a first 10k of the year. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Scanning the local running websites I found this interesting 10k race through one of the prettier Cheshire villages around here. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️Starting off in the village centre and then weaving around the area on a mixture of road, trails and pathways.
