Help! Varifocal nightmare.

Hi All. I collected my first ever pair of varifocal lens glasses on Saturday. I certainly hope it's true what people say - stick with them as it takes 10 - 14 days to really get used to them. Currently they are a nightmare. Great for distance at the top of the lens but for computer use or reading the only seem to work when looking through the very bottom 3 or 4 millimetres. So looking at my laptop I'm having to crane my head back all the time. Great for my posture but not very comfortable. I'll stick with it but if all fails then I can return then for two separate pairs for no extra cost. Hmm, really not convinced. It's like looking through a child's kaleidoscope
